NHFA to host annual meeting; present 27 educational seminars
HIGH POINT, NC – Members of National Home Furnishings Association will gather on Sunday, Oct. 17 in the Retailer Resource Center on the first floor of Plaza Suites for the 90-year-old trade association’s annual meeting. The business session at which officers for 2011 will be elected will begin at 8 a.m. It will be followed immediately by a presentation by industry analyst Jerry Epperson.
Epperson will be keeping retailers up to date on the current state of the industry and alert them to what they can expect for the retail home furnishings business in the coming months.
Epperson’s program is one of 27 Retailer Resource Center seminars focusing on business-building ideas and information for retailers.
The seminar series kicks off at 8:30 a.m. the first day of Market, Saturday, Oct. 16, with a program, “Do’s and Don’ts of Advertising” and concludes on Wednesday morning, Oct. 20 with an exploration of the question, “Is Your Business Ready for the Next Five Years.”
In addition to the full schedule of informative programs, more than 30 industry consultants will be in the Resource Center to provide free one-on-one consultations to retailers.
The Retailer Resource Center is an industry service of National Home Furnishings Association and is open to all market buyers. Retailers need not be NHFA members to take advantage of the Center and its amenities, but membership representatives will be available to talk about the many benefits of association membership and to accept applications.
