NHFA’s Retailer Resource Center (RRC) moves to Plaza Suites, April 2009
High Point, NC – National Home Furnishings Association (NHFA) announced today that it will move its Retailer Resource Center (RRC) from the International Home Furnishings Center, Main Wing, 12th Floor, to Plaza Suites, First Floor, in April 2009. A High Point Market mainstay since 1984, the RRC is a retailer’s “home away from home” during market. As a one-stop, central location, the RRC hosts more than 40 vendors each market who provide services, programs and products developed specifically for retailers. Among these are vendors in advertising and marketing, consulting, financial services, furniture protection products, insurance, software, store design and displays, and warehouse and distribution. In addition, the RRC offers business-building seminars, hosts the Cyber CAFÉ, and makes available free wireless Internet access to all RRC visitors.
Since its present lease expires with this October’s market, NHFA’s Retailer Resource Center (RRC) established the following requirements for a new location: be on the first floor of a major exhibition building and have enhanced visibility, have increased traffic flow and improved amenities. Merchandise Mart Properties Inc. offered just such a location at Plaza Suites. In addition, MMPI will assist the National Home Furnishings Association (NHFA) in developing marketing opportunities for RRC vendors and in bringing national speakers to RRC seminars.
Commenting on the move, Doug Kays, NHFA President, said, “The new location for the RRC enhances NHFA’s visibility at the High Point Market and its assistance to retailers. We look forward to this state of the art facility and our continued partnership with service providers and the industry.”
